This mission was part of an agreement signed with the ICA Foundation to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases in several cities in the interior of the country, including Gagnoa, Lakota, Divo, and Tiassalé. A delegation of around ten people, including doctors, nurses, officials, FICA agents, and FDD representatives, toured the Gôh and Lôh-Djiboua regions. The organization of a hypertension screening campaign reflects FDD’s and its partner FICA’s commitment to contributing to the well-being of the populations in the visited regions.
Requested by FICA in anticipation of World Heart Day, FDD deployed its operational team with the “Heart Mobile” to support the medical teams of the FICA-led campaign. In 7 days of consultations, nearly 1,500 people were screened, and some were treated. Among the screened patients, there were over 5 severe cases, including 2 hospitalized urgently in Lakota and Divo, and one case of severe congenital malformation that was sent to Abidjan for surgery.
The Didier Drogba Foundation is dedicated to supporting the most disadvantaged. Since children are the future, they are central to our mission. We deeply appreciate your generous contributions and support.
