During Didier Drogba's official visit as President of the Didier Drogba Foundation and his delegation, he received a warm welcome in Agni country, Niablé.
The traditional authorities of the Canton of Niablé proceeded to his enthronement in the presence of Mr. Bamba Amara, Sub-Prefect of Niablé. Thus, as NANAN KOUADIO MOROKO III, Didier Drogba then met King NANAN BOA KOUASSI III.
Education being at the heart of the Didier Drogba Foundation's priorities, this visit focused on "bridging the digital divide" within our educational system. In partnership with the IPPON Foundation, the Didier Drogba Foundation provided computers, software for computer training, headphones, printers, UPSs, and one-year internet connection to the Public Primary School 1 of Niablé (which celebrates its centenary this year) and the Nanan Kouakou Kouao High School in Niablé.
The FDD also donated to the IEP of Niablé, in the presence of the Regional Director of Technical Education and National Education, Mrs. Keita Amina, and the President of the NGO AMBE, Mrs. Kindo Marie Laure, benefiting students of the Community School of the village of Aboudou. This consisted of a hundred ZECI solar backpacks (in partnership with EDF) containing school kits.
The legend Didier Drogba does not intend to stop there and will soon return to the region for new projects.
President Didier Drogba wishes to thank all the traditional authorities as well as the administrative and security authorities of the cities of Abengourou and Niablé for their warm welcome and their personal involvement in the success of these various ceremonies.
The Didier Drogba Foundation is dedicated to supporting the most disadvantaged. Since children are the future, they are central to our mission. We deeply appreciate your generous contributions and support.
